It depends on what you want to do.

    • Usajobs is the online site for all federal government positions (including park ranger, forest ranger, wildlife positions, etc).
    • GreenCareers is a good general source; it also has lots of suggestions about writing resumes and cover letters.
    • http://www.idealist.org/ lists many non-profit positions:  both paying and volunteer.

A quick Google search for “green jobs” yeilded these results, upon more.

I don’t know which of these are gems or which are busts. Internet job searching is a crap shoot, another bet would be to search your area for companies with green practices, and apply specifically to them according to your own skills and talents.

I don’t think anyone has listed http://www.eco.org/ yet.
I have to admit that Craigs list is also a great way to find environmental jobs and I have had tremendous luck with USAjobs.

There’s a great article on EarthTechling about jobs at venture-funded green startups:

LinkedIn is a social network of professionals. You make a profile of your professional and educational experiences and add other professional contacts to your network. You can join environmental groups and check out job listings that people post onto the job board. The environmental groups are a good way to learn what others do for a living and discuss current environmental issues they deal with in their professions. It is a great way to reconnect with past coworkers and classmates and it is less invasive on your privacy than facebook.

    Check it out: http://www.linkedin.com
