Ink cartridges are an example of a product that gets reused instead of recycled. Also, durable goods are a pretty obvious product that we reuse instead of recycle. An example of a durable good is a car.
There are a lot of products that we can reuse instead of recycle, and if you are creative enough, you can find a way to reuse many things! Take an old pair of jeans for example. If they do not fit anymore, you can offer them to friends and family. If no one wants them, you can donate them to charity, or, if they are too tattered for even charity, cut them up and use them as rags.
The most important thing to remember is that you should always think of a new use for an old product, and it doesnt even have to be what the product was originally intended for, like my previous example with the jeans. You could use a plastic jug to collect your change. You could reuse the same plastic cup instead of throwing it away. Anything to keep those products out of the trash…
Good luck and I hope this helps!
