This has been answered and addressed many times before, but let me give an overview.
Polycarbonate plastics still use BPA in their manufacturing; therefore, some plastic products still contain BPA. Mostly, these products can have the recycling codes 3 and 7–not 1, 2, 4, 5, or 6–and “PC” somewhere on them. Also, some metal water bottles are lined with plastic that contains BPA. Look for bottles without plastic lining.
