The Giant Sequioa is one of the largest and oldest trees in the world.  The U.S. Forest Service’s Sequoia National Forest in California is a popular location to visit in order to see a quantity of these grand trees.  It is predicted that these trees are between 2,000 and 2,500 years old.  Other trees in the redwood family, such as the Dawn Redwood, can be quite old as well.
