What are some “natural” recycling processes?

Almost everything in nature works together to break things down constantly. There is water, namely rain, which break things down. There are a number of animals, like earthworms, that eat a lot of decay including dead leaves and grass. There is the sun and photolysis which uses energized photons to break things down. There are also algae, bacteria, and fungi which are some serious biodegradable forces. Almost everything you see in one way or another contributes to the break down of everything around it, again there are many a species that exist that seemingly fill specifically this purpose.
