Australia’s most endangered snake is the broad-headed snake. It only lives in small patches within 125 miles (200km) of Sydney. Disappearing habitat is a big part of this. We move in, but we force the plant life to grow in a specific area. From there, the broad-headed snake’s prey goes to live somewhere else with more space. This leaves the snakes without food, killing them off.
