The Majuro Atoll in the Pacific Marshall Islands is projected to lose 80% of its land with a 20-inch rise in sea level.  Other islands throughout the South Pacific and Indian Oceans, including many in the Maldives and French Polynesia face rising sea levels due to climate change which will cause these islands to disappear. All coastlines will also be affected throughout the world.
