Unfortunately, a lot of nations may be facing this. All of Dubai (one of the fastest-growing cities int the world) will be submerged in the next 100 years. 90% of the coastal zones found in the United Arab Emirates will be submerged. Other nations that are in danger of submersion are the Netherlands, the Maldives (which staged an underwater Congressional meeting as an act of protest recently,) and the small island nation of Tuvalu. Any other countries with parts near or below sea-level are in danger of “going under!” Closer to home…in the United States, Manhattan and New Orleans are at very low elevations, and in coastal zones. They are very threatened by rising sea levels.
Oops, I just re-read your question. Island nations in danger of going underwater: Tuvalu, the Maldives, Kiribati, and the Marshall Islands.
