A few common ones are: English ivy and kudzu (notoriously destructive and difficult-to-remove vines) and several types of thistle (Canada Thistle, Scotch Thistle, Purple Star Thistle, etc.) For a more complete list of invasive plant species, go here: http://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/plants/main.shtml.
The following link lists all invasive plants in North America with pics and information concerning each species. Coming originally from the Southeast US, I know there is a big problem with Kudzu which was introduced from Japan.
