After a tsunami recedes, there are many health problems posed. First of all is the contaminated water and food supplies that the flood waters created. Even clean drinking water might have been contaminated and thus people may get sick from drinking it or sick from not having access to any water. Lack of shelter after a tsunami can create health risks due to sunburn, exposure, heat and other environmental risks.
Another health hazard would be the environment itself. Usually after a Tsunami the city/town is torn apart, leaving buildings unstable and not safe to be around. Also, like what happened in Japan, you have to make sure that nuclear sites are secured after a natural disaster. Radiation can contaminate food and water supplies that have already been contaminated by other things.
