What are some harmful chemicals that the solar manufacturers deal with?

Solar panel manufacturers must deal with toxic silicon tetrachloride, a byproduct of the manufacturing of solar cells.  This chemical is highly toxic and corrosive, making it pretty dangerous to handle.  It is often not disposed of properly harming the biota around it.  It can even irritate tissues by simply inhaling air contaminated by the chemical.
