Some green side jobs may include being a bicycle messenger or setting up compost bins/piles for residents. Some extra money can also be made in collecting recyclable products that people throw away and bringing them to your local recycling site, where they pay you for your “goods”!
One green side job I have pursued is working for the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. You help the agency in its goal of providing affordable housing while diverting construction waste from landfills and putting it to good use. Check your local H4H chapter to see if any opportunities are available. In addition, you could consider marketing yourself as a provider of truly green landscaping by using push-power reel mowers and pesticide free lawn care to local customers. Or consider working with Greenpeace. Be creative, there are great opportunities available.
