When it comes to green kitchen counter tops, there are two categories: terrazzo-like recycled glass–and-concrete composites and paper-and-resin composites. Terrazzo is made from pieces of polished glass from beer bottles, windshields, traffic lights, and stemware, which are essentially set in a base of concrete to create solid slabs. Vetrazzo And EnviroSlab are good brands of Terrazzo. PaperStone shektaStone, and Richlite are good kinds of paper-and-resin counters. They are more malleable too since they are made from newspaper, cardboard, and waste paper.
