According to a study done by Wiser & Pickle (1997) funded by the US government, some green marketing strategies that they claim to work are telling customers that they are making a difference somehow by purchasing the product, creating a sense of community, and enhancing the value of private goods by highlighting the environmental benefits of the product.
Have your green product or products certified is part of a good marketing plan. Just make sure that is is from a legitimate company. The Small Business Administration has a Green Certification and Ecolabeling program where you can get certified in GreenSeal, Energy Star and also provide international certifications for your green product.
