The greenest way to clean your windows is to use vinegar and water, and you can dry them with newspapers. Although, it may leave streaks if you have used traditional window cleaners for a long time, which leaves behind residue. Adding a bit of dish soap to the vinegar and water will help combat the residue and eliminate streaks. Combine 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon liquid soap or detergent, and 2 cups of water and use in a spray bottle.
Mixing warm water and vinegar is a good alternative. Another option is to use borax and water. You should mix 2 tbsp. of borax and 3 cups of water in a spray bottle. You can clean the window the same way with this mixture that you do with a normal window cleaner.
