Check out amazon.com for a great book selection. While I didn’t find an exact book about eco-friendly landscaping, there are some books that would probably include information about how to make your yard a bit more environmentally friendly. My suggestion to you would be to landscape using local plants or plants that require similar amounts of water. This is best for both your pocketbook and the environment.
It’s important to landscape with native plants, that way you can save on watering and the plants are made to be successful in your area. Also, avoid pesticides and other chemicals. Here are some books:
Bringing Nature Home: How You Can Sustain Wildlife with Native Plants, Updated and Expanded – Paperback (April 1, 2009) by Douglas W. Tallamy
An Illustrated Guide to Organic Gardening (Gardening & Landscaping)
Sustainable Landscaping For Dummies by Owen E. Dell (Paperback – Feb 9, 2009)
