Last year, a team of research scientists found that the bearded goby, which is a 4-6 inch long fish, exclusively likes to feed on jellyfish. The jellyfish population has skyrocketed because it only has a few predators and because of the deadzone phenomenon that has been occurring in certain oceanic areas. So scientist were pleased to discover a fish that likes nothing better than a meal of jellyfish (Science a Go Go, 2011).
Some predators of jellyfish include tuna, sharks, swordfish, sea turtles, and even one species of Pacific Salmon.
