The RAMPed UP House, which was a recent finalist in the US Green Building Council’s ‘Natural Talent Design Competition,’ is a home design that benefits those living in hurricane and flood-prone areas. The model mitigates risk of damage by standing 7 feet above grade. The home is also accessible to people using wheelchairs. Furthermore, the home utilizes three eco-friendly elements: solar-energy, multi-split heat pumps and a Google Powermeter for energy management.
