Here is one model made by a Japanese company Toto, they boast that in addition to no longer requiring toilet paper, [img_assist|nid=157256|title=toto|desc=|link=none|align=center|width=640|height=420]their “tornado flush” model uses half the water volume of a traditional toilet.

The forst paperless toilet was invented in Japan in 1980. Toto is by far the most popular model with over 70% of households in Tokyo owning the model and even Britain adopting the modern toilet. A more common option in Europe and in some cases the US, is the combination of a regular toilet and bidet.
