I think you mean examples of detergents that are greenwashing US! The term “greenwashing” refers to a product or a process that is marketed as being environmentally-sensitive and “eco-friendly” while really being only marginally better for the environment, at best. It plays on the idea that “green is the new black,” or that environmentalism is trendy. An example of one detergent that is “greenwashed” would be Palmolive “eco+” dishwashing detergent, which alleges that it is “eco friendly” on its labeling, yet contains chlorine bleach. There has been a lot of furor over Tide Coldwater detergent, which is eco-friendly in that it saves energy, but it is full of petrochemicals–hardly an environmentally-friendly choice!
