Since Atlanta, Georgia is a major U.S. city and is home to 432,427 people (according to the 2011 U.S. Census), pollution is quite a big problem. The city has a lot of traffic, which produces a lot of air pollution and smog. Atlanta also faces water shortages. Between droughts and having a small water supply, water is a serious issue. Its growing population only makes the situation worse.
