Insufficient food, if all the corn goes to make ethanol; increased in deforestation, if forests are used for biomass; complications and legal wrangles over water, if more is impounded to make hydroelectric generation plants; who knows what with solar, wind, wave, tide farms – if/when they become large enough to actually make a significant contribution, then the mining of the neodymium, silica, and dozens of other things necessary for their construction could be a significant negative; and plenty more – just think.
