A good way to go eco-friendly for your Thanksgiving meal is to eat local foods. Foods within 100 miles are generally considered local. The local foods are more green because they do not use as much energy to travel from where they are grown, to your plate. Each region has their own unique vegetables, which you should incorporate into your meal plan. You can find farmers markets near you or make sure that the food you buy from the store is marked as local.
