There are two main categories of criticism against transhumanism: practical and ethical. Practical criticisms are those that say that the goals of transhumanism are unlikely to ever be achieved. Ethical criticisms object to the moral view of the idea. One example of an ethical criticism is the “playing God” argument. See the Wikipedia article for more specific examples.
