what are some animals that naturally compost?

If you see composting as the act of using waste products to create fertile soil for plants, only humans do it for their own benefit. It certainly happens naturally in the wild, but only humans cultivate plants. Other animals simply eat what’s there. They don’t attempt to help it grow or change the way it grows the way humans have.

Well…the whole idea of composting revolves around the idea that microorganisms breakdown the organic material you are managing.  So if you think about it…the bacteria and fungi that are living on your compost pile are “naturally composting” as it is their function to do so.
