    In terms of safety and health in the workplace, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration or OSHA is the federal agency designated with regulating conditions in the workplace. Established by President Nixon in 1970, OSHA is a division of the Department of Labor and is in charge of making sure industrial facilities are fit to safely complete their operations without endangering the health and well being of employees.
