There are many differnent kinds of psychotropic mushrooms. They are not appetizing, most are described as small and leathery, however the psychotropic properties have drawn people to eat them for centuries to induce an altered stated referred to as “tripping.”

They’re ‘magic’ mushrooms! Actually, they have properties that create hallucinations when they are processed by the body. These have caused cults and fads through the years, as have other psychotropic plants, like peyote. One person even thought that there was a Mushroom of Immortality, which when eaten would make the eater live forever.

You’re probably referring psilocybin mushrooms, which are hallucinogenic/psychedelic/psychotropic, etc. These will make you “trip,” as they say, for anywhere from 3 to 8 hours. They’re usually obtained in a dried-out form from a private grower or dealer, and they’re simply eaten in whatever dosage a person sees fit. “Magic” mushrooms are mushrooms that contain psilocybin, a chemical that alters your brain’s neurotransmitters much like the effects of LSD. People usually eat the mushrooms plain or mix them with other foods. They will make the consumer “trip.” Be careful though because misidentification is the biggest mistake one can make when it comes to psychadelic mushrooms, because some are lethally poisonous.
