There is very little danger with fuel cell cars. The only hazard that can really happen is Hydrogen causing brittleness in some materials, which could include the metals used to craft the motor vehicle. Also, minor electric sparks can form, but that is not damaging. Hydrogen is plentiful, and easy to make. Making Hydrogen does not cause a hazard for the environment either.
