While the composition of different plastics can vary, in general they are usually composed of various amounts of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, chlorine, and sulfur. Raw materials that are used as sources for these elements include petroleum, natural gas, coal. Most often, differences in plastics are based on it’s structure, and not necessarily the ingredients that are used.
