What are plant gametes?

Gametes are either a male sperm or female egg. In a flower, they are the stamen (male) and pistol (female). The pollen is located in the stamen. When the pollen from the stamen comes into contact with the pistol, cells combine. They travel down the pistol and eventually form seeds inside the fruit of the plant.
