what are the pest damaging jackfruit

    The principal pests that damage jackfruit are shoot-borer caterpillars, mealybugs, spittle bug, and jack scale. The most destructive borers are Indarbela tetraonis and Batocera rufomaculata. Other enemies of the jackfruit are Margaronia caecalis and the brown bud weevil.

    These are mostly fruit and wood borers; they like to burrow down into the plant, creating lots of holes that can make the fruit or tree vulnerable to disease and rot.
