What are other countries doing to protect the bee populations?

    British supermarket chain The Co-op banned the use in its suppliers’ produce of a group of pesticides which have been linked to the death of billions of honeybees across the globe. The Co-op is also the largest farmer in the UK, cultivating more than 70,000 acres. Colony collapse disorder has raised concerns because of the importance of bees in pollinating important food crops. Italy, Slovenia, France and Germany also have either banned or restricted the use of neonicotinoids.
