    Nematodes are a family of microscopic, multicellular, worm-like organisms.  They are the most abundant multicellular organisms in the world, and there are almost 20,000 species of organism in the Nemata phylum.  They range in size from .3mm to 8m, and they feed mostly on bacteria, fungi, and other nematodes.
