    While no official definition is in place essentially a nano particle is any particle having one or more dimensions of the order of 100nm or less

    Nanotechnology studies the control of matter on an atomic and molecular scale. Particles are defined as small objects that behave as whole units in terms of transport and properties. Nanoparticles are sized between 1 and 100 nanometers.
