Nagoya species are the species to be protected by the latest United Nations initiatives. The Nagoya species are to be protected and their habitats preserved. The initiative wants to increase marine protected areas from 1 percent of the world’s oceans to 10 percent of the world’s ocean area.
Each participant is required to devise their own biodiversity plan and hopefully prevent the worst loss of life diversification since the extinction of the dinosaurs.
