Pellet stoves are more environmentally friendly and give off less pollutants than traditional wood burning stoves. In fact, pellet stoves emit less toxins than any other heating device that burns solid materials. They usually burn wood or corn substances. There are more efficient, EPA-approved wood burning stoves. However, pellet stoves provide cleaner heat than these more efficient models.
