What are microbursts?

    Microbursts are localized, downward shooting bursts of air towards the surface of the earth. Once hitting the Earth, the air is then pushed outwards and usually causes damages to tree, homes, power lines, etc. They are a great danger to aircrafts when the aircraft is caught in the microburst.
