Lithium-ion batteries are a form of rechargeable battery that has lithium ions move from the negative electrode on the battery to the positive electrode on the battery during discharge, and then back the other way when charging.  You’ll often find them in consumer electronics as they are the most popular type of rechargeable battery in things like cell phones, mp3 players, and other rechargeable devices.
