According to a 2011 Newsweek ranking of the biggest green companies worldwide, Munich Re, IBM, National Australia Bank, Bradesco, and ANZ Banking Group scored the highest ratings in terms of environmental impact, environmental management, and environmental disclosure.
In terms of retail products and gifts, I think that Global Exchange is a pretty good source. It’s not exactly a company, but it does have a few stores where you can get environmentally friendly goods. However, many of their goods are from other countries. Since it is more green to produce goods locally and not transport them over long distances, I think that a large sustainable company is somewhat of an oxymoron.
