What are the largest animals living in rainforests?

    It depends on what rainforest you’re in. In the African Rainforest, the Forest Elephant is the largest. In Asia, it’s the Asian Elephant. If you’re thinking Amazon Rainforest, then it’s the tapir.

    Yes, it is difficult to beat the elephant’s size.  Animal life is just as diverse as the rainforests themselves.  Forest elephants are a smaller species of the typical elephants found in the savanna, males capable of reaching a heighth of around 8 feet (as compared to the 15 feet reached by those in the savanna).  Another large animal of some rainforest then could be the manatee, found in the Carribbean, Africa, and Amazon.  They can grow to be about 10-12 feet in length.
