Like most life on Earth, humans need the positive effects of sunlight. Too much can burn our skin and even result in cancer, but small safe increments of sunlight are essential. Similar to plants process of photosynthesis, we also take the energy from the sun’s rays and synthesize that into Vitamin D. This in turn keeps our bones and teeth healthy by regulating calcium. Additionally, sunlight helps control levels of cortisol which will provide more restful sleep and relaxation at night. It also gives us energy and facilitates in regulating biorhythm cycles of our daily life.
