There are no hazards from the electricity generated by a nuclear power plant. The danger comes from the reactivity of the material used to produce the nuclear reaction. Nuclear power plants super-heat water in a closed-loop system, which transfers the heat into another water tank, which tsuper-heats that water into steam that is used to turn a turbine that generates the power.
