What are the grubs that I find inside of wood?

Grub is a non-descriptive term used to describe insects in their larval stage. They are usually large and round and found in rotting wood, trees, decomposing organic matter and just about everywhere else. Some of the common grubs found in American woods belong to different breeds of moth and beetle.
