What are the greenest car that the USPS is using?

The greenest cars they are using are zero-emission: the US Postal Service does currently use some electric cars, and has since 2001 when they started using Ford Ranger EVs in some areas. There is currently a bill introduced in Congress that would make electric vehicle use much more widespread for the US mail, introducing at least 20,000 electric mail cars and 24,000 charging stations. Check out the article in the second link below for more information on what EV advocates and auto-makers are doing to support this bill.

And as a fun fact: the first electric car was used by the post office in 1899, before gas-powered vehicles were as standard as they are today. Users and onlookers were surprised by how foast this car made deliveries!
