what are the future implications for african elephants and for the ecosystem it inhabits as a whole ?

Well, African Elephants are converter animals, much like humans. They have a long lifespan, and no natural predators, and a habit of changing their surroundings to suit them, including trampling the competition underfoot. So the real queston becomes how do we deal with it, and to that, the answer is still up in the air. The implication is that we will need to cull the elephantsto prevent them from overrunning their habitant and destorying other, smaller animals… but who knows. we may find a better way in the future.

Either way, I hope this helped!
