What are economists doing to try and find out the effects of global warming on our economy?

Economists in key positions of administrative and private sectors are theorizing and extrapolating current data to determine the effects of climate change on the US economy (presumably other nations are as well).

Agriculture, energy, transportation, ecosystems, infrastructure relating to water supply will be hit the hardest. However, all areas of our economy will feel the burn in an uneven distribution.

The PDF below contains a document on economic implications of climate change, including some specific dollar estimates. It is a great reference if you want to learn more.
