What are the different zones of the ocean?

    The ocean is composed of 3 zones. The first zone is the epipelagic or euphotic zone. This zone receives enough light to support photosynthesis. The second zone is the mesopelagic or disphotic zone. Only small amounts of light penetrate to this zone. The third zone is the bathypelagic or aphotic zone. This is the zone where no light penetrates.
