    According to Anil K. Gupta from the Geology and Geophysics department at the Indian Institute of Technology:

     “The earliest archaeological evidences [of the domestication of plants and animals, can be] found throughout the tropical and subtropical areas of southwestern and southern Asia, northern and central Africa and Central America” dating to “10,000–7000 cal years BP”.
