The King Cobra–the biggest venemous snake in the world–is typically found in Tailand, southern China, Malaysia Peninsula, and the Philippines in fields and dense jungles. It’s about 3.5 meters long, but can get as long as 5.5 meters. The King Cobra is usually either an olive color, or brown, or green in color, and has “ringlike crossbands of black” (http://www.wilderness-survival.net/snake/25/).
When threatened, king cobras can raise up to 1/3 of their body length off the ground and still move forward. While venom isn’t the deadliest in the world, seven milliliters is enough to kill 20 people.
