What are chloroplasts?

    Chloroplasts are organelles in leaves which convert solar energy, water and carbon dioxide into usable energy for the plant. Chlorophyll within chloroplasts is able to harness the solar energy, this energy is then used in a process which produces glucose and oxygen from water and carbon dioxide.
